Mr. Harvill is a specialist in the retirement plans field with over 40 years in this market with experience in consulting, administering, and providing investment guidance to tax-qualified and nonqualified retirement programs. Mr. Harvill’s extensive experience includes work with 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, money purchase and profit sharing plans, defined benefit pension plans, and nonqualified executive compensation programs.
Mr. Harvill founded Harvill Pension Consultants, Inc. (HPC) in 1996, working with one of the first multiple mutual fund programs available for 401(k) plans, providing clients with new, cost-effective options not previously available. In 2018, Mr. Harvill joined SRP and continues to strive to provide clients with the most comprehensive retirement programs focusing on fiduciary concerns, plan design issues, and employee education and assistance.
As an ERISA fiduciary advisor to retirement plans, Mr. Harvill helps the plan select, monitor, and review the investment alternatives under the retirement program. He also helps employers with plan design issues working with the TPA and any other parties involved. Mr. Harvill assists clients when there are issues that need to be resolved with the TPA or recordkeeper, freeing up their time to focus on more productive issues.
Mr. Harvill also specializes in providing employee investment education through retirement plan enrollment meetings as well as specialized investment education seminars covering a variety of topics to help enhance clients’ employee benefit programs. Being an Investment Advisor Representative with Kestra Advisory Services, Mr. Harvill can provide guidance to individual plan participants concerning their retirement investments.
Prior to forming HPC, Mr. Harvill was with a national life insurance company for 18 years. Mr. Harvill has focused his entire career in the employee benefits marketplace. He is a graduate of Indiana University and holds a BS degree in Business Finance.
Mr. Harvill has earned the AIF® Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. The AIF® Designation certifies he has specialized knowledge of fiduciary standards of care and their application to the investment management process.
