Jim joined SRP in 2018 with a primary focus on guiding individuals in the creation of personal wealth. Numerous clients rely on Jim to provide unbiased, knowledge-based advice with a history of success.

Jim moved to Iowa from Illinois in 1990 to open an office for a Rockford, Illinois based benefit administrator. Following over 25 years of helping employers with as many as 100,000 employees navigate the challenges of benefits Jim returned to his roots, attained his securities licenses and started advising individuals on wealth management in 2008. Jim made his first equity investment in 1978 and has never looked back.

Jim has two adult children who keep him busy. Every one of Jim’s clients receives the kind of service and advice generally reserved for the very wealthy. If your portfolio has multiple commas or none at all Jim will work with you to find a solution that will help you attain your goals.

Jim is a long-time member of Rotary, enjoys fitness, weight lifting, basketball, biking, golf, home improvements, waterskiing, snow skiing and walking his dogs. Jim has served as Little League president, on the board of the YMCA, as a Des Moines Public School volunteer.


What was your first job?

Walking beans in Cylinder, IA. Was paid $8.00 for two full days of work.


What is the craziest fashion trend you ever rocked?

Suede sport coat with a shiny disco shirt, open collar and a gold chain.
